Inside H&H Books sits a table for two decorated with wine glasses, name cards, rose petals and twinkling candles. "We open the door, and she's super surprised — she doesn't know what to do," Patel recalled. "And then she was bawling her eyes out." Joe DiMaggio fans, brace yourself. Film critic Jeffrey Lyons claims the Yankee legend once dated the world's first famous transsexual, Christine Jorgensen. Appearing on the Joe Piscopo radio show, Lyons (the son of columnist Leonard Lyons), said, "My parents were friendly with [Jorgensen]. They fixed her up . . . got her a date with DiMaggio." Presumably, this was after his 1954 marriage to Marilyn Monroe. DiMaggio's close friend, Dr. Rock Positano, doubted the date went late. "Joe never got to first base on this one," said Dr. Rock, "or even out of the dugout, so to speak."

A new day may finally be dawning in Gotham (and Metropolis and Atlantis) as James Gunn is taking over the DC Universe (formerly DCEU) creative duties. Because it seems like the right person is taking over: Guardians of the Galaxy mastermind James Gunn, who also worked wonders for DC with The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Now a co-CEO and co-chair of DC Studios (one half of the new regime, as Peter Safran will run the business side), Gunn gained great power and an even larger responsibility.
