One of the next animated Disney movies up for a live-action remake is Hercules . In recent years there has been a slew of live-action remakes of classic Disney films, such as Beauty and the Beast , Pinocchio , The Jungle Book , Aladdin , and most recently, The Little Mermaid . Hercules is based on the Greek myth of the demi-god who has super strength, goes on great adventures, and is a champion of the weak. Throughout the years there have been many representations of Hercules in film, television, books, and video games. He is one of the most popular characters from mythology to be portrayed in popular culture. Therefore, it is no surprise that in 1997, Disney brought the myth to life with their beautiful animation. The film was directed and produced by John Musker and Ron Clements who had previously worked together on The Little Mermaid and Aladdin . Jack Nicholson Almost Starred in One of the Greatest Films of All Time - Collider

The Big Picture Al Pacino's portrayal of Michael Corleone in The Godfather is iconic and synonymous with the character's image in the minds of audiences. Jack Nicholson turned down the role of Michael Corleone because he believed that actors should stick to playing characters of their own ethnicity. While it is fun to imagine Jack Nicholson in the role, it is impossible to improve upon Al Pacino's perfect performance as Michael Corleone. What else can you say about The Godfather ? As it turns out, there's an added twist you may not have known about concerning one of the lead roles in the quintessential mob movie made in 1972. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and adapted from Mario Puzo 's unmatched source material novel, it became the gold standard for not only movies about crime families but motion pictures in general. We could get into the beautiful score, the top-notch cinematography, and the tremendous job done by Coppola in ha...

Should I try to save my long-distance relationship - The Boston Globe

Image
Q. I'd been living with my partner for about seven years. On paper we were great — both academics, love travel and hiking, and want a child-free life. The good times were really good and I loved her (and still do). Other times, however, my partner was quick to get angry, yell, and cry. I was often the target of this negative emotional energy, even when I was not its cause (somehow I was to blame for tiny external annoyances). I had implored her to get help managing her emotions, but she wouldn't. In 2021, fed up with my job as well as my relationship, I took a new position abroad. She supported me taking it; I would come back to our shared home during vacations and summers. But I made it clear: This move was a sign that our relationship was not good and needed changing. Honestly, I thought it was the end. To my surprise, she started getting help. She's been better at managing her emotions and apologizing when she slips up. She seems more willing to listen to my needs and to...

That includes 13% of lesbian, gay and bisexual adults who say they are currently using an online dating platform, 11% who have used one in the past year and 27% who have done so more than a year ago at the time of the survey. How we did this Pew Research Center conducted this study to better understand lesbian, gay and bisexual adults' experiences with online dating. This survey was conducted among 6,034 U.S. adults from July 5 to 17, 2022. This included 4,996 respondents from the Center's American Trends Panel (ATP), an online survey panel that is recruited through national, ran...
