A Rochester, Minn., man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate 90 in southeastern Minnesota.

Thomas Lee Schwerzler, 59, was traveling west on the freeway when his 2015 Toyota Camry left the road and struck a tree near the Marion Rest Area in Eyota Township east of Rochester, the State Patrol said.

Roads were dry at the time of the crash, which was reported just before 11 a.m., authorities said.

Schwerzler, who was the only person in the vehicle, was wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene. Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor in the crash, authorities said.

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. – A driver died early Monday when his SUV left County Road 214 in Keystone Heights, struck went into a ditch and overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 6:36 a.m. on C.R. 214 at Yale Street, according to troopers.

The 80-year-old man driving the SUV died at the scene, troopers said.

Rochester man dies in single-vehicle crash - KTTC

NEAR EYOTA, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man was killed in a single -vehicle crash Sunday morning in Olmsted County.

It happened on I-90 around 11 a.m. at the Marion Rest Area near Eyota.

A 59-year-old man was westbound on I-90 when his Toyota Camry left the road and hit a tree.

He died at the scene.

Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Eyota Ambulance and Eyota Fire responded.

British police said Monday they had arrested one man on suspicion of murder after a stabbing rampage that took place in the city of Birmingham on the early hours of Sunday morning.

One person was left dead and seven injured in the stabbing spree that took place in four locations in the English city.

Police wrote on Twitter that the 27-year-old man had been arrested at around 4 a.m. Monday local time, suspected of being responsible for the murder and all seven counts of attempted murder.

"Clearly this is a crucial development but our investigation continues," said Birmingham Police Commander Chief Superintendent Steve Graham.

He added that there was no suggestion of the attack being terror-related.

"Victims appear to have been chosen at random," he added.

90-minute stabbing rampage

Police answered a distress call at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning after a stabbing was reported in Birmingham city center.

The British Press Association said the stabbing rampage lasted 90 minutes.

Two of the victims remain in critical condition, while a further five have less serious injuries.

Police previously released footage of a man they said they were looking for in relation to the stabbings.
